Thank you for visiting our website.
St. James Lutheran Church Paoli PA, is a small, friendly, Confessional Lutheran Church. We come together on Sunday to hear God's Word and to receive His gifts.

The church is the Bride of Christ, which He purchased with His very life and given us to come together in fellowship. And that's what St. James Lutheran Church seeks to be - a church.
We hope you will join us, Sunday at 11:00 am

St. James Lutheran Church is a member of the Independent Lutheran Diocese, (ILD).

What We Believe as a Church

We are saved by faith: (Sola Fide) Salvation is God's free gift to us and it is by grace, through faith, not by religious works or the efforts of man. (Romans 1:17)

Salvation is God's gift for grace: (Sola Gratia) God's is merciful and kind and has given us salvation as a free gift. (Ephesians 2:8)

Salvation is found in Christ alone: (Solo Christo)- God has given us the ministry of reconciliation in Christ and in Him we find complete forgiveness of sins and by His grace are justified and stand before God righteous. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (John 14.6)

The glory of our salvation is to God alone: (Soli Deo Gloria). There is one God and He is the one to whom all the glory of salvation is to be given. No person, or institution plays any role in the saving work of God in giving His Son to pay for our sins and in Him find complete atonement. (Romans 5:8)

The Bible is the perfect and inspired Word of God: (Sola Scriptura). St. James regards the Bible as the Word of God, "God breathed," and the ultimate authority for all matters of doctrine. (2 Timothy 16)

Communion - It is not a requirement that one be a member of St. James or the ILD to receive communion. However, one must be a Baptized, and confirmed Lutheran, believing in the True Presence of Christ in the bread and the cup. (1st Corinthians 11:29-30).

Traditional Liturgical Services - All services are the traditional liturgy.
